Basic Direct Care Skills (Microcredential)

Basic Direct Care Skills provides a core foundation of knowledge for direct care workers in the field of child welfare.

课程 will help you develop an understanding of the impact a client’s environment has on their functioning. Family dynamics and a basic understanding of psychological theories are also covered.

Those who successfully complete the Direct Care Skills microcredential are well-prepared to begin rewarding careers in direct care in residential facilities for youth, the elderly or the disabled. All of the courses in the microcredential can also be applied to the college’s well-respected 公共服务部A.A.S. 学位.

This microcredential is the first in a series of three stackable credentials. 课程 are offered on campus and many are also offered in an online format.
